Project Management

Initial Concept, Detailed Design, Construction/Completion


MPS can take the lead or provide support in programme and project management services from initial concept through to completion. We often work as the client representative on large construction projects, based within the client offices if necessary. We also provide experienced insights and technical understanding to identify project risks and mitigation approaches to overcome problems.

We understand each client’s requirements are unique, so our collaborative and flexible team allows us to approach each programme/project differently. Infrastructure Master Planning

MPS has significant experience in infrastructure master planning for both public and private sector organisations. We focus on the engineering and delivery of master plans to fulfil strategic business outcomes. Our team are leaders in the three waters industry, with a detailed understanding of our clients’ unique challenges and an ability to develop recommendations that respond to their specific needs.

As well as having a range of experience across the industry, a key area where MPS provides value is through our network of established contacts at Council and its CCOs. This means MPS can facilitate outcomes more quickly than if traditional channels are used. Council Liaison, Stakeholder Liaison and Negotiation


Communication is a strategic imperative for high performing projects and organisations. As well as having experience across the industry, MPS provides additional value through our network of established relationships at Auckland Council and its CCOs. Both Phil Jaggard and Simon Matthews have previously held Asset Planning Manager roles within Watercare, with Phil having recently also held the role of Stormwater Strategy and Resilience Manager at Auckland Council.

This means MPS can facilitate engagement and outcomes with Council organisations faster than through traditional established processes. In the same way, MPS has worked with most Tier 1 and 2 engineering consultancies and has good working relationships with key staff, which can be leveraged for great client outcomes.
